6 Reasons You Should Be Using Cloud Computing In Your Business

Cloud computing delivers computing services on-demand over the internet.

It can be used as a storage, for apps’ infrastructure, or to accelerate computing power.

In 2020 cloud computing is a must-have for every web developer.

But which service is the best?

Which cloud provider offers the most?

We’ve already explained why you should be using cloud computing in your business.

If you missed that somehow, you can learn more about the advantages of using clouds in our article.

Today, we are going to determine which cloud computing service is the best in 2020.

This is our subjective list of the best providers as of right now.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

One of the oldest clouds in the space.

Established in 2006, when almost anybody else thought about cloud computing services.

And yet, it still is widely used by millions of people around the world.

There are many reasons why AWS is still that popular.

First of all, a multitude of options.

Amazon Web Services offers more than 175 fully-featured services.

Thanks to that, you can do virtually everything with your business in one place.

That gives Amazon the edge over others.

What makes AWS so appealing is also the community.

It’s an underestimated factor in the process of choosing a cloud service for you.

Amazon Web Services has probably the largest community in the world, so it’s much easier to find a solution to any problem.

Why?

Because there is a strong likelihood that someone already went through that difficulty and found the solution.

The Amazon Web Services offers many PaaS and IaaS solutions, including Relational Database Service (RDS), Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2), Simple Storage Service (S3), and Elastic Beanstalk.

Thanks to all of those, Amazon's cloud computing service is still one of the best in the world.

Microsoft Azure

Azure was launched in 2010. A decade of searching for solutions, testing new tools, and developing the platform allowed Microsoft to stay ahead of the competition.

Microsoft Azure offers its users running any service on the cloud or combining it with any existing application, infrastructure, or data center.

What differs Microsoft’s cloud computing service from others is an easy-going approach.

Thanks to the Azure Migration Center transfers of data are fast, straightforward, and effortless.

Another advantage of using the Microsoft product is the compatibility with the Linux environment.

Also, Microsoft Azure offers 12 months for free.

However, it’s a limited service with over 20 features to use in a limited time (for example you have 750 of Windows Virtual Machine for free to use, but you need to use it within 12 months).

The offer of a free trial period can be found here.

Google Cloud

The third biggest cloud provider in the world.

What makes Google Cloud so special?

The platform doesn’t try to catch the competitors.

Rather than that, Google decided to create its own audience.

Thanks to the integration of Google Ads, financial services, and sales with cloud computing Google Cloud has the edge over others.

The platform works closely with other services offered by Google and it creates a complete ecosystem.

Since Google Ads became one of the revenue sources on the internet, choosing Google Cloud Platform gets even more appealing.

Similar to Microsoft Azure, Google’s cloud computing service offers a 12 months trial.

IBM Cloud

IBM arrived on the scene when the tech giant bought Red Hat for 34 billion.

Earlier, the company had its cloud services, but only after the acquisition of the company specialized in building and distributing Linux solutions IBM became a force to be reckoned with.

IBM’s product offers a multi-cloud service.

However, the company wants to sell its solution as one product for many users.

IBM Cloud can also be fully customized. T

his way you do not need to pay for services you don’t want.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

The last one on our list is the cloud computing service from Oracle.

Why did it make our ranking?

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure comes from another tech mogul, and because of that, it offers a powerful and full-of-features platform.

Oracle’s solution supports different workloads, from machine learning and AI to IoT and microservices. However, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is designed mostly for big enterprises rather than small businesses.

On the rise

We won’t say to you which one of these cloud computing services is the best.

Every one of them has several pros, but also some cons.

If you don’t see yourself using any of the top 5 cloud services, there are many more to choose from.

There is Alibaba Cloud, which is a significant player, especially in China.

DigitalOcean allows you to scale apps running on multiple computers.

Worth to consider are also platforms: Verizon Cloud, Rackspace Managed Cloud, Kamatera, and Salesforce Cloud.

Of course, there are many more platforms.

Every one of them offers something different.

We only hope that we brought you a bit closer to your decision of choosing your own cloud computing service.
